.....December.

I will be 100% sure that all of us will hear a Christmas-themedchristmas-themed song today. What's your favorite Christmas song?! For me it's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. That song makes me cry sometimes. The message is clear and the rhythm is amazing. Nakakakilig.

But of course today’s post is not about Christmas Song. Today I decided to talk about wise-thoughts for this holiday season. This may help you be better since December can be dubbed as a spending month too!
  1. If you are a student, the good Christmas break can be a good time to start learning and earning. You can try a new skill and work your way to develop that into a career. Take for example learning Adobe Photoshop that could lead some side jobs in Elance and Odesk. Don’t waste the time that you are out of school loads for nothing.
  2. Splurge Intelligently. Not because you have your Christmas Bonus and your 13th Month Pay does it mean that you are entitled to spend all you want. Remember how ants work. They hustle their way so that at times of emergency they will have something to eat. Splurge Intelligently.
  3. Make a List. Jot down everything especially when it comes to finances. What writing down does is for you to remember better and assess more. From your holiday budget, gifts that you are going to buy to grocery items in the market, make a list. That way you can manage your money well.
  4. Be mindful on your gifts. I know that it’s the thought that counts but gift-giving is very rare to happen especially in this era of us so I don’t mind spending for the people I care. But to be very fair with my wallet, I believe this year I’ll buy gifts that are useful yet inexpensive. I was actually thinking of giving “cute” piggy banks to all of my family members and workmates.
  5. Take a Break. This season is a great season to take a break and refresh your mind from all the chaos that the past months. Make time with your family or yourself by just putting a day-off. Maybe there’s something you have been putting off for a long time. Whether its a place that you like to go to or an adventure that you want to experience...do it. That way this year’s holiday season will sure to be worthy to remember for you.
  6. Don’t depend on your Credit Card. There will be a whole lot of promos in line with your credit but don’t give in! Take control of that card and spend with your cash instead. You can have a better idea on how much you still own. Forget the Credit Card for awhile and let it rest to avoid debt.

Hope this post helps as a guide on how you can make the most of this year’s holiday season. If you have something to share, please do so. The comment section is open below.
